Description: PUBLIC HEALTH GRAND ROUNDS T3 Translational Research: Linking Research to Community Health Improvement Jointly sponsored by the Center for Community Health and the Department of Community and Preventive Medicine “Will an Epidemic of Cardiovascular Disease Emerge in Low Income Countries? The Grenada Heart Survey” A number of countries around the world have not yet developed an epidemic of coronary disease. The Grenada Heart Study, funded by the World Heart Federation, has examined one such study prior to occurrence of appreciable number of cases of coronary disease. This survey of two communities in Grenada provides insights into the causes and timeframe of coronary epidemics in low and middle income countries. Presented by: Thomas A.
